EMWD Presents Riverside County Water Task Force Speaker Series

EMWD presents the Riverside County Task Force Speaker Series:  The Human Right To Water:  Providing Safe Drinking Water to All Californians.   800,000 Californians struggle with access to safe and reliable drinking water.  In 2012 the California Legislature passed a law stating that it is the policy of the State of California that every human being has the right to safe, clean, affordable, and accessible drinking water adequate for human consumption, cooking and sanitary purposes.  Over the last six years the California Legislature has passed various laws seeking to address various elements of this law.  Come hear from industry experts on upcoming legislation and other efforts to establish a solution to providing safe drinking water in communities served by chronically non-compliant systems.  Speakers to be announced soon!
