Event Description:
Mt. San Jacinto College will hold its 9/11 Commemoration at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 11 at the San Gorgonio Pass Campus.
The event will include: A moment of silence and observance of the events of 9/11/2001 and Banning High School band performing “America the Beautiful.” Flags made by Beaumont High School students with names of those who perished will be given to audience members. A letter from 9/11 survivor and former MSJC student, Denise Casazzone, will be read by Dr. Jeffrey Holmes. A virtual tour of a 9/11 Memorial Museum given by Dr. Bertha Barraza will be held in the student services building. Refreshments will be served.
